Question about Pre-K

I heard rumors that the public pre-k program was going to be cut for next year. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? I hope not because this was a big plus that motivated us to move to WP 2 years ago. I'm sure other parents are in the same boat.

I read something on LoHud that they were thinking of outsourcing it possibly. I don't really understand what that means, or what the program will look like. I hope they keep it around though because I think that public pre-k is a big selling point for families thinking about moving here. My friends son is in the program now at Post Road and loves it.
